Inter Cast Marriage Scheme
Details
The main objective of the scheme is to eliminate caste discrimination in the society and promote integration. For this, the Central Government and the State Government jointly grant amount of Rs . 50,000 as an incentive grant to couples who get married inter-caste, including Rs. 25,000 from the state government and Rs. 25,000 from the central government.
Beneficiary:
Marriage One of the beneficiaries is a Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe , Deemed Caste , Nomadic Tribe and Couples married between a person from a Special Backward Class and another person from an upper caste Hindu , Jain , Lingayat , Buddhist , Sikh are eligible.
Benefits:
The bride and groom should each receive financial assistance from two respected individuals. Recommendation letter (original copy) from the employer should be attached. Ration card photocopy (must have the names of the bride and groom ) Photocopy of the joint bank account passbook of the bride and groom (Nationalized Must be a bank.) Aadhar card of the bride and groom.
How To Apply
The District Social Welfare Officer , Z.P. , Social Welfare Department. Fill the application in clean letters and submit the copies of the following documents in the order given.
Application form in the prescribed format and a joint photograph of the bride and groom on it.(Small size)
Marriage registration certificate from the competent authority.
School leaving certificates of the bride and groom.
If the bride or groom is from a backward class, then the Sub Divisional Magistrate.Given Caste certificate.
Caste certificate required.
15 years of marriage given by the Hon’ble District Collector/Tahsildar of the bride and groom Residence Certificate (Domicile) Truth on Stamp Paper Affidavit (original copy) should be attached.
